Copilot Introduces AI to Microsoft 365

AI is everywhere, and it is becoming a huge benefit for growing small businesses. Unfortunately, a lot of business decision-makers don’t know where to start. Most AI for businesses is used inside applications you use daily. Microsoft has dedicated itself to improving its products with the use of AI. One of their ventures is to add AI to their Microsoft 365 productivity suite and so they have introduced Copilot, their effort to do just that.

Microsoft Copilot Explained

A lot of work gets done around the world with Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365). Copilot is the software giant’s attempt to help users advance their efforts with artificial intelligence. Copilot is integrated throughout the software suite. Here are a few things that Copilot is capable of within the applications representing Microsoft 365:

  • Microsoft Teams - Teams is Microsoft’s collaboration app. Not only does it streamline the scheduling process for meetings and other events, it can also help users catch up on missed meetings with a summary of what was discussed.
  • Microsoft Word - Copilot can help anyone improve the tone and wording of their writing inside the word processor. It can also be used to help with drafting and formatting documents.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint - Copilot can help transfer data to new decks and can come up with speaker notes to enhance the value of presentations.
  • Microsoft Outlook - Microsoft’s enterprise email application has been improved in several ways. Users can summarize long email chains so that users don’t have to fish through replies to get the necessary information they need. Copilot can also be used to quickly mark important messages while helping users author clear and concise messages.

With the use of AI, organizations that depend on Microsoft’s powerful cloud-hosted productivity suite will be able to do more, faster.
